Dogwood Blossoms Chorus thrives in part because of the commitment of the people in leadership. Here are a few of the people that make our ensemble tick:

KAREN BURGESS, Assistant DirectorKaren is a 40-year charter member who co-directed the chorus upon its inception. We are blessed to have her talents as she still enjoys directing an occasional song. Karen serves on the music committee as the assistant bass section leader. Karen is a retired nursing home bookkeeper. She has been in the choir at First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon for more than 4 decades. She resides in Mt. Vernon, has three adult children, and six grandchildren. |
