2023-11-26 - Caroling at The Grand Hotel

Several of us got together to watch the webcast of international competition last fall (2023). Why the outfits? SAI had a contest to see which chorus could be the silliest - and we did quite well, needless to say!

On October 16th, 2022, we had our first show since the pandemic commenced! We totally enjoyed performing at Thorne Hall at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University!! Here is the chorus...

Dogwood Blossoms Chorus performed at Ohio Harmony Xperience, a harmony camp held at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University in June 2018 - what fun that was! We performed "You Belong to Me" and "Kazoo Koncerto" and enjoyed hearing the other performances too! Two of our members attended OHX and performed at the concert given at the end of the event.

These women are our fearless leaders for the rest of 2018 and into 2019 - and what a great group they are! We installed our new board members and officers in May.

Thanks to a matching grant from Community Foundation of Mt. Vernon and Knox County, the chorus has new risers! 

In January 2018 we held a retreat at the Grand Hotel on the square in Mt. Vernon; David Calland came to coach us in vocal techniques. We think he's "the tops", so here he is standing at the top of the chorus!

We went to Region #17 competition in May 2018 - and as one can see by the picture, we take everything about it seriously! Thanks to our make-up crew! 

2018: We invited women who are cancer survivors or who are battling cancer to sing with us on our annual show - what fun we've had singing with them at our rehearsals!
